Commitment To Community

At Acton Toyota of Littleton, we take great pride in aiding our community.  We consider it a privilege to assist organizations and individuals as they improve our world and make a difference in the lives of others.  Here are a few of the many ways in which we're giving back.  They're our humble way of saying "Thank You."

American Red Cross
With a goal of 26 pints, the Red Cross Blood Drive at Acton Toyota collected 39 pints of blood from just over 50 donors.  All individuals received a complimentary wash and vacuum for their vehicle from our dealership's reconditioning center.

The Jimmy Fund
Acton Toyota humbly provided the Jimmy Fund over $30,000 in 2011 to support the fight against cancer in children and adults at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.

Acton Toyota of Littleton Scholarship
Started in 2011, Acton Toyota has awarded $20,000 in scholarship money to deserving senior high school students
to aid them with their college tuition.

Lazarus House
For many years, Acton Toyota has proudly donated its time and money to the Lazarus House Ministries, Inc. and their admirable mission of providing care and assistance for the restoration of dignity and self respect to people who are poor and needy.

Acton-Boxborough United Way
Acton Toyota was pleased to have made a charitable contribution to the Acton-Boxborough United Way to help this non-profit organization pursue its mission to identify and raise public awareness of community needs; link needs with quality services; and raise and allocate funds to support the charitable efforts of the community.

American Red Cross
In response to the 2011 tornadoes tore through western Massachusetts destroying the local communities with the heaviest damage in Springfield, Acton Toyota proudly donated money to the American Red Cross in their effort to assist Springfield and area residents with shelter, food, drink and emotional support as they cope with the unfortunate devastation.

Concord Fire Department
Acton Toyota is very happy to have provided the Concord Fire Department with Power-PRO Powered Ambulance Cots.  These cots use a power system to raise and lower the patient with the touch of a power button dramatically reducing the stress and associated risk of back injury for those handling the cot.

Littleton Counsel on Aging
Acton Toyota has helped support the production and distribution of The SENIOR BROADCASTER, the monthly newsletter for the Littleton Council on Aging (COA).  The COA is a team of committed staff and volunteers dedicated to identifying and responding to the physical and emotional needs of our town's seniors. We provide programs, information and referrals that will enable seniors to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Toys For Tots Program
Led by Steve Jensen, Acton Toyota Sales Consultant, Acton Toyota participates in the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  Stop by the dealership any time during October, November, or December and place your gift in the truck bed filled presents for needy children.  The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Gerdes School Of Hypermiling Event
Focused on helping its hybrid owners learn how to drive their vehicles more fuel efficiently to save money and the environment, Acton Toyota enlisted the help of Wayne Gerdes, founder of cleanMPG.com, to share tips, practices, and techniques on how to best drive a Toyota hybrid vehicle to maximize fuel-economy.  Nearly 200 Acton customers attended the event.

In Control Crash Prevention
In Control offers the nation's first state certified crash prevention training to drivers of all ages. This closed course, hands-on education was adapted from existing law enforcement training in the United States as well as European instruction that led to a societal shift in attitudes toward driving in many countries.
